The Vice Presidential race

I thought that I’d put my two cents’ worth of opinion in on Super Tuesday and what it means for Vice Presidents.

Senator HILLARY CLINTON
From what I’ve heard, I think Clinton will choose from one of two people for the job of Vice President. Both are elder statesmen and both are highly regarded among all Democrats. The two men are Gen Wesley Clark (2004 Democratic presidential nominee) and Gov Bill Richardson (from New Mexico). Personally, I believe that Gov Richardson has more experience. He was US Ambassador to the United Nations from 1997-1998, and was also the US Secretary of Energy from 1998-2001.

Senator BARACK OBAMA
I have no idea. The only guess I could venture is Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano.

Senator JOHN McCAIN
There’s been a lot of controversy about if the Arizona senator is too left-leaning for the Republican Party. I think that, to quell those rumors, McCain might choose Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee. Huckabee’s one of the most social conservative candidates in this election cycle, and the governor had a real strong showing in the South. People looking for a social conservative ticket would probably hop onboard.
